What would be the best datafeed for trading US Equities (so Nasdaq and NYSE) and is this accurate tick data?
There was an older thread on a comparison between Sierra Dom and Jigsaw Dom. On a related subject, jigsaw has a couple of features called Summary Tape and Reconstructed Tape. Which for example shows volume executed on bid and volume executed on the offer and the resulting effect on the price (i.e. tick up or down).
Is there an 'equivalent' in the Sierra Charts package ?
Thanks in advance.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
There are many posts here on which data feeds to use.
Package 5 for Sierra Chart. Ticino Trader has a YouTube Channel that shows how to make Chartbooks similar to Jigsaw TT and others. You will find Reconstructed Tape, Market Profile, Footprint, Volume Profile and many other chart types.
If you're trading exclusively DOM I highly recommend Jigsaw though. Pete from Jigsaw is fairly active on there and responds quickly.
Don't know if my answers are helpful since I am kind of new to all. However lets begin with comparison with Sierra and JigSaw. From what I have read Sierra can do same things as other softwares can do and more.
I would go for Sierra without blinking. Believe me Sierra looks like something from the 80's until you start opening doors and realize Sierra is made by geniuses.
I have some Chartbooks that clones JigSaw and I will attach screenshots.
And regarding feed I use Denali for futures and I am happy but when it comes to stocks I have no clue.
