Anyone know where I can find an nt indicator that shades the area between two moving averages?

Thanks,
Adrian

You can look at an indicator I wrote some time ago called VMA Zones to get you a code sample. It shades (drawregion) based on a moving average.

hi roonius,
any ideas for this problem :

when i import your SlingShot-zip i get an error -- remove your bad scripts -- but i have no bad errors-scripts in my ninja i can open + compile any scriopts -- there are no errors left.

then, when i try it with the pure SlingShot.cs-file i get this error : global namespace>' already contains a definition for 'maType'.

Thanks

Here is the newer version - will allow to select inputs for MAs

Roonius,

How do I add the T3Average to your slingshot indicator? I tried just to follow your format, but I think the problem is that the T3Average actually has 2 inputs - overshoot and period. I would be fine to have the overshoot a constant at .7 and be able to change the period.

case maType.VWMA:
f = VWMA(Input, FastAverage)[
0];
break;
case maType.T3Average:
f = T3Average(Input, FastAverage)[
0];
break;
default:
f = HMA(Input, FastAverage)[
0];
break;
}

Thanks for your consideration,

Mahlon

Mahlon,

Try this,

case maType.T3Average:
f = T3Average(Input, .7, FastAverage)[
0];
break;

RJay,

Thanks for your help. Your suggestion did allow my changes to compile.

...but it's not quite right.

Here is the indicator file and a screenshot:

The CYAN line is a 40 period T3Average, the BLUE line is a 120 period T3Average. I want to color the area between them. The skinny RED line is the T3. It kind of works, but there is a "jigger" in the middle.

This is way above me at this point!

Mahlon

Mahlon,

I usually use code something like this from Big Mike's VMAZone indicator.

You may need to define two DrawRegions for when the MA's cross.

Upper.Set(VMA(High, Length, Volatility)[0]);
Lower.Set(VMA(Low, Length, Volatility)[
0]);

DrawRegion("Region", CurrentBar, 0, Upper, Lower, Color.Empty, Color.Gray, Opacity);
