I decided to check out the 3 day trial. It’s $33AUS for 3 days access to Adam's trading room, done via zoom.
He only trades 6A.
The way he analyzes the market is different than anyone else I’ve encountered. He’s constantly looking for who will be offside and looking to puke out when a move against them happens, so he is looking for the uncrowded areas to put his position on and take a trade. Often, this is counterintuitive, but for him it works. He is constantly talking through his trade ideas, asking if he’s going to be wrong, and talking about what the competition is doing. He views trading like a competition, and compares it to sports. Since he’s from Australia, he references rugby and cricket often, which I have zero experience with. Many of the references were initially lost on me, but once I understood the concept, I was able to connect the dots.
Adam uses a combination of volume profile tools, the DOM/order flow, depth map and footprint charts. He mainly uses Gomicators tools, all on ninja trader 8. He also splits up his VP into all different sessions, not just overnight and RTH like many people do. He splits it into CME, HKE, Europe, etc and compares what is happening in the current session vs what the previous session did. Areas of acceptance, different session VWAP, multiple size tick charts are all in play. I saw from 25 tick to 100,000 tick being used. He does an extensive morning prep and writes meticulous notes on Evernote with chart screen shots and he refers back to these often as the session goes on.
Of the 3 days I was there, Adam made $ every day. I will say his with one caveat. He does not show his trades in real time on the DOM he has up. However, he does show a chart after the trade is done which shows the trade markers. I don’t know the size he is trading, but he during a trade, he will often start small, then add to his position as the trade moves his way.
IMO, Adam makes money as a trader. Although yes, he has his trade room and he offers mentorship, I have no doubt that his main income is from trading.
That being said, it doesn’t work for me. He starts at 11 AM AEST, which is 9 PM EST. I’m on MST, so for these 3 nights I was there until well after 1 AM. I’m typically up before 5 AM, so clearly I can’t be up this late. Also, 6A can move very slowly at times. If you’re looking for go go go action, this is not it. Adam picks his spots, talks through his trades for the reasons why he is taking the trade and he waits for the market to set up what he wants to see.
With all of that being said, I would definitely recommend checking him out. Adam is a friendly guy, very open to answering emails and also questions during the live trade session. He has a no bullshit way about him which I appreciate - he just says it like it is. I appreciated his approach to trading and his market knowledge is excellent.
