To day was rollover date for FDAX. I use a session template with pre-session (8:00-9:00), the main session (9:00 - 17:30) and the after-session (17:30 -22:00).
Although the data has been loaded correctly into the data base, no data is displayed between 8:00 and 17:30.
I would like somebody to confirm this bug. My suspicion is that it could be related to country settings, and/or my local time zone, which is GMT +1. Thank you!
Again this shows that NT 7 is far from being debugged. There is a large number of open issues.
The bug cannot be detected after the close of the rollover session. Did not know that, so it is too late to check now.
But I had confirmation by the NinjaTrader guys that they could reproduce it, so the bug has been promoted now. It is no longer my bug, but everybody's bug, and therefore I do not need to keep it here!
Today it happened something similar to me with the ES. I was using the standard RTH session template, and no data were shown on volume charts for about the first hour of trading. The data were downloaded and stored in the database. Restarting ninja solved the problem.
I use NT7 V21 and I was watching the FDAX 09-2010 in the morning. I think at German time 13.59 (or 11.59? - dont mind, at the roll over time) the quotes stopped, but after loading 12-2010 I got the history (I mean data including morning data)and also the normal data came in (after the roll over). My default for my Kinetick connection is "back adjusted" which provides open end contracts (Endloskontrakte) in face of the history for the futures. In other words I had a normal day in FDAX 12-2010.
Time template is 24/7 and standard time setting on my PC is NÜRNBERG time. If I forgot something please let me know.
Nürnberg Time, LOL. Is that the same century? Love those sausages from the Bratwursthäusle!
The bug can only be detected on rollover day, if you use a three-session template. If you look at the instrument settings, you will find that FDAX uses the session template "Eurex Equity Index futures". So if you use instrument settings (recommended), you will automatically use the 8:00 - 22:00 session.
I have divided the day into three subsessions: Pre-session, Xetra-session and after-session. I need this for several purposes:
(a) displaying the opening range for FDAX (red)
(b) displaying the pre-session range for FDAX (gray)
(c) calculating RTH pivots from the Xetra session
You must adjust session times to 8am-22pm germany time ( Berlin, Eurex is Frankfurt ) stored under
' Session times ' >> ' Eurex equity index futures ' to find all data in your chart. GMT +1 is all right at european summertime .
Regards
Klaus
@Klausi: You responded to a post that is over 9 months old and referred to a Beta Version of NinjaTrader. The problem of the missing session has long been solved by NinjaTrader support.
You honestly do not want to tell me how to adjust session times, do you?
For details on my EUREX session template, see post below.
FDAX is a bit different from CL. My experience is that ETH pivots work better than RTH pivots in general, but there can be exceptions. ON many days they are identical, if the price action after 5:30 PM is range bound.
