Still scratching my head when it comes to data feed for Sierra. I just want to test and do some research with live feed with market depth but without trading. However after read the documentation on SC, I have understood it that I need to open a trade account somewhere and deposit funds to be able to get non-professional prices for CME and COMEX?

Does this mean, even if I pick their "Denali" package I still have to open an account at a brokerage?

Used to forex and metatrader before, that was easy getting things up and running compared to this.

So my question is - what are my options if I want to get live feed data with market depth?

If you open an account with AMP you get free access to SierraChart package 3 and data feed with market depth is possible for $6/month.

Thanks for the information! Did not know this was possible! Don't know of the quality of data but I will give it a try indeed! Have just signed up for an account!

I have an account with AMP and i am using CQG with SierraChart. I have experienced no problems at all so far.

Edit: i should correct myself. If you want CME and COMEX it will cost you $10 each with Rithmic, $11 each with CQG so $20 or $22 per month. You can also go for the Denali which would be $20 per month + $20 per month for CME and COMEX if i remember correctly.

If you want to be sure you could ask AMP.

How much do you pay for the CQG feed?

I took some screenshots from the client portal to avoid mistakes from my end.

Sierra with CQG (which seems to have the most options including market internals):

Sierra with Rithmic:

Sierra with Denali:

I have the same AMP/SC/CQG setup as @RDK91... no issues, it's been great for the last three years.

What you should also consider (if it's important to you) is the number of market depth level provided by the particular data provider.

If you are going to be using strategies that rely upon having a deep order book, CQG only provided 10 levels market depth either side of the current price whereas Rithmic/Denali do full book/300.

With Rithmic/Denali, you are also paying an extra $20 odd a month for order routing.

Signed up first with CQG and noticed the lack of levels - so I switched to Denali! Great they are!

Perhaps Denali is better if you trade using DOM and need this sort of data.

For people who only needs level 1 might be overkill.

AMP with CQG level 1 is just US$1 per month for the data, canīt beat that... If you donīt need tons of historical data, this is the best option. You get 1 year of historical data.
