Hello all. I am new to trading future. I have been trading currency for about 5/6 years. I have always wanted to give future a try so decided to give it a go now. After doing some research I am leaning towards AMP Global for my broker because they offer MT5 platform. I am used to using MT4 so my thinking is it will be easier for me to navigate. Also they have lots of tutorial on their website. My starting capital is $3000. My question is.....
1. Would you recommend AMP for a new future trader.
2. If I am only trading Micro e-mini S&P 500 futures is their CME/GLOBEX data for $10 a month good enough?
Any help and guidance you can provide I would really appreciate it.
Thank you
Jolly

I would suggest going for another platform, MT5 is limited. AMP futures has a lot of free platforms, SierraChart is very good with almost limitless possibilities, including very good automation possibilities. It will take a few days to get used to but it is well worth it.
There are 2 options regarding the data, level 2 data $11 or top of book data for $2 per month. Top of book doesn't give you the depth of the orderbook but if you are a chart trader that doesn't really matter. I would also suggest taking a look at and learning about market internals, the data cost for these is $6 per month.
AMP is a good choice to start with, very competitive margins and a lot of free platform options.
First they overcharged commission than what they agreed and it took more than 2 weeks to refund that $2.
It took too many phone calls and emails to get my $2 back.
Talking about phone …
