Question: I’m currently using Sierra Charts 5 and I’m thinking of actually purchasing NinjaTrader 8 and stop renting Sierra, can anyone answer if NinjaTrader 8 purchase Will be as, or easier to use?
Having been a multi-year user of both Sierra and NinjaTrader, I think it is a fair assessment that NT is easier to use. Everything will depend on exactly what you are doing however, can you elaborate on your setup?
My set up in regards to system: computer is Falcon Trading System with Dell 43” HD and two secondary monitors. Platform currently is Sierra Charts 5 with CQG/CME data fed. Hope this answers your question.
Yes partly -- but what is your platform setup, what kind of charts are you using? Because there is not exact feature parity between Sierra and Ninja, you'll want to trial the new platform before committing to it to ensure it will do what you want/need.
Wanting to clarify. When your asking about Charts you asking about candles and indicators etc.? I’m using the candles intraday charts but also longer term just to see bigger picture. Charts I’m using are created on the platform. Thanks!
Ok, so yes I think NT would be easier most likely based on that answer. You'll also find a great deal more NT content (custom indicates, thousands) here on the site, whereas far fewer Sierra custom add-ons.
Great! I’m currently using VWAP with EMA’s. But as you can see these are lag indicators. So learning to pay attention on points of crossover as opposed to after the crossover has finished and large move well on its way. Thanks Mike!

I have been working with both NT and SC - I must say that I any time prefer SC as it has much possibilities and have interface to many exchanges at electronic liquidity providing platform, e.g. LMAX and you can choose many brokers.
