Funny, just took a look and I have been a member here for about 9 years....mostly a reader, a couple of short lived journals, a few posts here and there.... but kind of shocked at how long it has been. But it is the place I have always come to, and have been an avid follower.
But, felt like it is time for a journal for several reasons - accountability (although that is really only to myself), "note taking" of sorts and documenting my thought processes and decisions, and honestly, to maybe have some more interaction and resolve some boredom through the day. My trading has changed a million times over the years, and something I have finally developed is a better ability to sit on my hands instead of clicking the mouse 100 times just to make something happen.
So, the journal title. I am a firm believer that "The Scalper's Journey" is one of, if not the best journal I have read on here (or anywhere). Actually posted a few times there, so that is saying something! :sarcastic: But, there is a tremendous amount of information there, and were some great people posting there consistently.... michaelleemoore who started the journal and seemed like a great guy and always willing to help. Inletcap, who was a huge influence on me with developing a bias and holding to it until proven wrong. Okina, a great contributor, who I actually mourned and felt physically sick about when he read he passed. Rory, who was just a nut (in a good way!) but had a lot to contribute. Tons of others, and I so enjoyed reading the posts whether I was trading at the time or not, and all in a strange way, felt like friends. Anyone new here, so yourself a favor and read through the thread.... I have done so many times, and it has helped tremendously.
So, I miss that, and I have no delusions of doing anything like that thread, as those guys are in class of their own, but maybe this one can be similar in some ways where it brings some people in with their views and ideas and maybe some good conversations. But enough with the first post....I will post some information on what I am doing currently and some charts in the next couple of posts, and looking forward to anyone who would like to contribute.
