I'm trying to input an exponential moving average in the Spreadsheet trader. I know the equation is
Exponential moving average =(K x (C – P)) + P
Where,
K = exponential smoothing constant
C= current price
P= previous periods exponential moving average (simple moving average used for first periods calculation)
But what I would like to do is make K based off a cell that is taking the spread of current high/low, so (C3-D3), so it would be dynamic.
P would be a constant set off another cell that should not change.
How could I do this and have it output to a cell?
