Hi,
Do CQG and Rithmic support server side managed bracket orders for MULTICHARTS.NET?
I'm asking because Sierra Chart has removed its support for CQG and Rithmic server managed bracket orders service.
Thank you.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
We reached out to both Rithmic and CQG for answers on this.
Per Rithmic: As far as they know, Sierra Charts never used Rithmic's server side brackets. They did, however use Rithmic's server side OCO's which meant that the OCO portion of the bracket was sent to Rithmic and managed on their servers only after the entry order was filled and received by Sierra. In such a case, if a disconnect occurred before Sierra received the fill report of the entry order, the COO would not be submitted. It is Rithmic's understanding that MultiCharts (or at least MC+) does use Rithmic's server side bracket and OCO's, but it is best to check with MC.
Per CQG: Please check with MultiCharts on how they implemented.

Sierra did not remove its support for CQG or for Rithmic. They will not set any data feed as "preferred" any longer.
Their goal, according to what I read and discussed, is to create their own data feed for historicals reference and execution.
As of right now, you can execute on CQG, Rithmic, CTS, and TT.
Thank you,

Hi,
I've found in SC documentation, that they removed its support for server-side bracket orders with CQG.
I've asked its board and got the answer:
"No Sierra Chart does not support server-side bracket orders with Rithmic or CQG. You will need to use SC Order Routing service for server-side bracket orders"
I think they are referring to the new TT connection. SC does not have its own order routing to the exchange because that would require a risk management system for the FCMs. I did not hear any FCM having it yet.
