Hi guys, how are you doing, I was reading the forum and your trading diaries a bit and encouraged me to create my diary
My name is Carlo, I'm from Latin America. I've been learning about futures markets for about 3 years, the one I study the most is NASDAQ

I operate with graphic ticks because I was an academy that operated only with graphic ticks
I thought that after 6 months of study I would make a lot of money in the markets

Then I had to learn to operate in all ways like most traders who try everything before having a defined trading plan
I did many hours of backtesting or market replay whatever you want to call it
Trying all kinds of strategies in the end I stayed with the combination of graphic ticks + Japanese candles (the volume of the candles seems the most important for my daily operation)

I did funding tests on topstep and oneup 3 in total to be exact, I lost them because I did it between 6 -12 months of knowing the trading
I did the last test in oneup and I lost it because I didn't have internet for several days and left an open position (a truck broke my internet cable) lol

I have used the ninjatrader platform since my beginnings, multichart probe but I think it is a very slow platform, it does not compare to ninjatrader

About 2 weeks ago I switched to Sierrachart
I really like it is very fast and it is very very similar to Ninjatrader

Why did I leave ninja?
The reason is that economically I am not doing well and if at some point I manage to raise capital, my option is AMP futures + microfutures and the Sierrachart platform that gives it to me for free.

As you will see, it is more than obvious that I operate in demo I was not sure about creating this thread but I saw fellow LastDino create his journal in demo so I am trying, I hope it is not forbidden

I plan to put a graph of my operating day and the reason for entry and exit plus entry and exit prices
I hope this good in that way in any case I would like to read your advice on how to keep a diary

Well that's all, I am using Google transtale because my English is not very good, I hope you can understand. Regards.

I started my journal in SIM. It's not an issue.

Best of luck.

Bad luck with the truck breaking your internet cable

As Ninjus said, no problem here with demo account journals. Admin only get annoyed if it looks like somebody is pretending or trying to pass themselves off as live when it looks like they are on demo.

Your English and the Google translation is excellent so no problems there. Good luck with the journal, I hope it helps.

You do not win as a trader, you just get to play again the next day. If that game doesn’t appeal to you then you should not trade. Gary Norden

Good morning everyone

thanks for your comments

Here I leave my chart of the day with error included Sierrachart that forced me to leave the market

Micro NASDAQ At the opening of the market I see that it lateralizes as is normal in the days that FOMC members speak

I have a down expectation waiting for it to break the 7910.00 support zone strongly
I could not participate in the first fall, I had no confidence to enter I thought it was going to be a slow day

I wait for the moment to take my trade in the pullback, with much patience, I know that the market is going to take many stops before continuing to fall, I know from experience, it has happened to me many times thinking that the market will go without me and I take in advance the trades

Reason for the entry: I saw a candle with a wick in the candle graph and the volume begins to increase, it seemed like the perfect time to enter

Reason for leaving: The market continues to fall very well until I get that Sierrachart box that I don't know what it is and right now I start looking for solutions on Google
I leave the market with flatten and cancel and I miss all that beautiful fall that I was waiting for since October 15

Entry: 7906.75
Close: 7875.75
Total 31 points.

Well if I manage to solve soon and there is volume in the market, I will be taking some long after the big fall

Good trade for everyone.

Hi Guys

Well last week the trial of Sierrachart was defeated and apparently I can not create more accounts as in ninjatrader. So for now I have to operate again in nt8.

my idea today was to take a short thinking that the trend should stop a little but apparently today was not a day for short.

Emini Nasdaq

First trade
Entry 7906.50 Exit 7916.50
Second trade
Entry 7935.00 Exit 7941.00
Third trade
Entry 7939.75 Exit 7952.75
Total –28.75 points

Good trade for everyone

After trying the day before

Finally, on Tuesday the market made a fall and so I could take some profit points.

There was also an increase in volume and that helped take an extended target.

First trade

Entry 7981.00 Exit 7941.00
Total +40 points

Good trade for everyone

Hello brother,

I seem to be little late to party but as you can see it is more than welcome to post demo trades. Also, I must admit that your charts are clean. LOT cleaner compared to mine. Haha
I also like how you describing your trades along with charts, it helps a fellow learner like me. Good job! I'm not sure if you are deducting costs though, so I hope you are or your platform is doing that for you. (Don't have experience with serria sim trading, so I dunno)

I wish you good success! I'll come and check here regularly, if you don't mind

This day I arrived late to the market, I waited for an opportunity, at 10:30 a.m. there was news of crude oil inventories
I saw a strong run up and I took my first long and first stop
the market falls sharply 1 minute later and I take a short - stop again
I have fallen into the trap of the news

my last entry was a long one and the stop was very large in the last pivot more than 20 points, I did not like that much, anyway I endured the trade until the next day because I expected a positive report from Microsoft

First trade Long
Entry 7873.00 Exit 7859.25 -13.75 points

Second trade Long
Entry 7860.50 Exit 7878.00 -17.50 points

Third trade Long
Entry 7886.75 Exit 7942.75 +56 points

Total +24.75 points

I will leave a chart in ticks so that it is understood much better, as I took a trade that lasted until the next day, in candles it could not be appreciated very well.
