Dear futures.io,

I was putting together a comparison of VPS services and so far I got BeeksFX, CNS, and FXVM... However, I'd like to expand this list after hand testing some other options.

Aside from the ones I've already included, which VPS services would you recommend and why?

What makes them special?

Other suggestions from another forum include: theomne, speedytradingservers, chicagovps, and steadfast .. Anyone have experience with these? Good?

I also vouch for Speedy. Sam gave me great service when I was his customer.

I have been using Beeks VPS since the beginning of the year, Silver package, to run automated strategies on MultiCharts. I was originally on the entry-level, Bronze package, but I found that once I had about 6 or more instruments running on their individual charts, there was not quite enough processing grunt so I upgraded to the Silver level. This is definitely adequate.

The OS is 'Windows Server 2012 R2Datacenter', and I have had no stability issues with the OS or my software applications. I strictly use the VPS only for trading purposes, and I always make sure the Windows updates are applied each weekend.

I just ran speedtest.net on my VPS for you reference ... 180 Mbps down / 4 Mbps up.

On the few occasions that I have contacted Beeks Support (due to my lack of product understanding), the response has always been within 30 minutes or less, and no hassles.

As this is the only vendor that I have used, I cannot compare to other vendors sorry, but I can't see any reason for me to change vendors at the moment.

Depending on the type of trading that you are conducting, should server location be a factor in your due diligence?

I moved your post to a VPS thread. You can also use the search function to search for "VPS", that will get you other threads and vendors on the subject.
