If any of you have ever trialed or subscribed to Money.Net, a feature-rich, global news and information platform/service, you know 3 things: (i) at $225/month subscription fee, they are NOT cheap; (ii) the live, real-time data feeds that come with your $225 are "limited" to pretty much everything BUT Futures/Commodities feeds (which can be added at PREMIUM prices); and (iii) just about everyone who answers the phone there is either an asshole, or tries to make you feel like one for "wasting their time". (As you can tell, I am a HUGE fan). Anyway, I digress. Is anyone aware of such a service directed at or that caters to futures and commodities traders, and for a reasonable fee? The great thing about this type of service/platform is its global perspective. Imagine, for example, being able to keep your finger on the pulse of every global event affecting the price of Crude...In REAL TIME? Please LMK. And, thanks in advance.

I use Metastock Xenith - a special version of Thomson Reuters Eikon with some limits.

You can get the Futures edition for 150$ per month which includes delayed data for virtually any futures market around the world. The delay is typically 20min.
(As I have a realtime feed for the markets I actively trade in my trading plattform, that's good enough).

You get access to Reuters realtime newsfeed (no delay), their calendar and an enourmous amount of articles, databases, option prices and tools.

When I tried Money.Net, it looked very US centric to me. Xenith is really global.

You could subscribe to realtime data from virtually anywhere at similar prices as money.net.

Limits of Xenith vs. Eikon include:
- no Eikon messenger access
- no access to tools like the fancy map where you can track oil tankers in realtime
- no access to the Eikon mobile apps
- You have no support really. What works, works.
- Metastock staff is very friendly and tries to help wherever they can. But in the end, they are just the reseller.
- The software is pretty old fashioned and has some bugs. There is a limited web version.

Give it a try - Metastock also offers some trial subscriptions AFAIK.

Money.Net targets Eikon and Bloomberg users. Bloomberg is out of reach for me.
But Xenith is very, very close to the real thing.

Disclaimer: I'm just a happy user - no affiliation with anyone whatsoever.
