IQFeed 6.1 Open Beta period starts today!
We posted the IQFeed 6.1 beta to our public website today so all customers can participate and offer feedback.
We anticipate this release becoming the official version very soon. At the end of this email is the original 6.1
announcement we sent a few weeks ago (for reference) but we have also included a few bug fixes in the build we
just posted so make sure you update if you were using the previous build.
Also, keep an eye on your inbox for info on the next version of IQFeed (6.2). This version will include an updated depth
protocol enabling Futures Market By Order which will be coming soon after the release of 6.1! We will be recruiting API
customers (like yourself) to help test a special alpha version on our pre-production servers and your feedback will
be crucial to making sure the new depth protocol is what you need from us to help make your products better! If you already
know you want to be a part of this, please reply to this email letting us know and we will put you on the list to get
instructions when the time comes.

This release brings some long awaited features to IQFeed. These new features are now available in protocol 6.1 of IQFeed.
Every attempt has been made to keep older protocols 100% backwards compatible so you should be safe to upgrade your
IQFeed client to this new version without breaking your existing software and migrate your code to the new protocol as need dictates.
• New Market Summary File Lookup! (more about this below)
• Level1 update/summary messages now include the Trade Aggressor (limited exchanges) and Trade Day Code (all exchanges) fields.
• Level1 fundamental messages now include Base Currency, Contract Size, Contract Months, Minimum Tick Size,
First Delivery Date, Open Time, Close Time, FIGI, and Security Subtype.
• Historical Tick data requests also now include Trade Aggressor.
• There is now an visual alert to customers while on trial that tells them when the trial expires.
• There is now a configurable visual alert for when level 1 data is queueing on the local machine waiting to be delivered to a client app.
• There is now a filter for non-standard options in the equity chains lookup.
• There is now a partial daily bar included for daily history requests for the current day's trading session.
• Historical data requests now strictly validate parameters.
Introducing the new Market Summary File Lookup!
Our new market summary file lookup offers a snapshot of the entire market every 5 minutes throughout the trading day!
Deliverable by exchange and security type, these lookups contain data for every symbol we carry streamed to you over the lookup port in IQFeed. At the end of the day, they are archived for historical EOD retrieval. Additionally, via these
lookups you will be able to retrieve archived fundamental data. Data has been backfilled for this new product offering
back through May 20th, 2018. This capability will be offered as a premium service, but it is available free of charge
during beta testing in order for you to test. In addition, if you have commercial software that will take advantage
of this data, be sure to let us know that you support this feature before we go live so we can help promote your software upon release of IQFeed 6.1.
