I use stage 5 to execute orders but Sierra for charting. My stage 5 gain feed powers sierra. Is it possible to for my trades to plot automatically on Sierra?
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
If you are using SC for charting, why not use it for executions also? If it is receiving data from Gain, I expect it can be configured to pass the trades to Gain as well, and I expect you would find it easier to only be looking at one platform at a time.
It also may be possible to continue with executing through the Gain interface and have SC updated (I don't know), but is there an advantage to doing it this way?
I'm not sure how your specific needs can be met, but I think that you can find out quickly enough, probably by putting the question to S5 as well as Sierra. Stage 5 should be able to tell you what you need to know about how to trade your account with SC.
It sounds like it shouldn't be too hard, but talk to the people you will be executing with, as well as the people at Sierra who supply the trading platform. Someone will have the answer to your questions.
Okay I managed to get issue solved. Simple fix of entering the live account name and then loading a separate MES chartbook. I chart using the ES but execute on the micro.
I sometimes trade MES instead of ES. I still you use ES charts and added a MES DOM to execute orders. Can actually have your MES chart trader targets and stops show on ES Charts. Pretty nice
