If you're trying to get an alert when the Daily price at or crossing over the 50ema in Sierra Charts this should be fairly simple. I think one way is to just put the alert on the Moving Average study directly (settings of the study, 3rd tab over for Alerts. You asked about a scanner though, so are you looking to scan all symbols (futures) and find one where it's crossing? I'm not sure if you can do that in Sierra, but in TOS you should be able to go to the Scanner and set it up. I have a few links for some custom scripts for TOS...if you want them let me know, I'll dig em up.
