I would love to hear from YM traders about getting 10+ cars/per LIMIT order filled. I have heard that the YM can't take size, but 10 cars doesn't really seem like much. Does anyone here have any actual real time experience with this?
Thanks in advance
thommy

What is the point of opening many threads with same question ?

From you question we can read out you are already trading 1 position with 6-8 contracts.
add 1-2 more and you see your self

I still trade single digit contracts on the YM, but I do know of a trader in another forum that routinely trades over 50 contracts. I have also seen him trade over 100 contracts on YM. No issues.

Thanks, that's the kind of information I am looking for!
Just like it said in the thread, actual YM traders with real time experience...maybe that's too complicated for some to understand...
Thanks again Brandenton!
I also use NT, have you looked at the MES yet?

Question is how he enters.
You can't buy 100 at market without moving YM.

15 sec chart. Horizontal line at 100 contracts.

I don't know if his fills takes time or are delayed. He enters his trades at market. Doesn't use limit orders as far as I know. The volume profile you have up is for 15 sec chart. He uses 1597 tick chart which looks like a 5 minute chart. Not sure what the volume looks like for a 5 minute chart, but think it would be higher.

If you buy / sell 10 contract at market you need to consider 3-5 tick slippage.

Hey, my mistake, I should have specified LIMIT orders. !0 car LIMIT fills. With a market you're going to get filled, but you may not like it.
Thanks anyway, apologies for the miscommunication.
