Would like to ask from knowledgeables about the V-Turns formations that appear rare yet very hard to account form my automated strategy. If someone has any experience how account for them, please share.
Thanks!
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
V's happen almost everyday on the emini, i'm not much of a coder but if i was to code this i would keep with the overall trend and lately we have been making a sharp move down to support then right back up as @cory said you could either code it for a large doji the 5 min charts usually has a few or look for a large obvious bullish engulfing candle and then buy the 50%, the second if what i like to do. Also a lot of the time we have a sharp move down then a correction that doesn't come back more the 25ish% then we have another move down that creates a HL (higher low) this for me is the perfect buying time.

Hey guys, thanks for your replies so far.I trader breakouts mostly and wrote a strategy that trades the breaks of the High/Low of the day(with some filters for entries), but that V`s are spoiling the wgole picture. The V`s just hitting my stops and moving in my direction.
I`m not accounting for individual bars or any bar combinations for that matter, hence ignore all dojis or engulfings.
