Hi to all!
As you know if you are European citizen, after Mifid 2 you are not allowed to trade US ETFs. So, my question is if anyone know a website to find similar EU ETF (tradable on any european stock exchange) with the same characteristicks with US ETF. I know the justetf.com but it's not a total solution. I want a way to type eg. LQD and find the similar EU ETF with the same structure, currency, replication method etc. Thanks in advance.
Forget EU UCITS ETF.US ETF have good liquidity, lower management fees, they have ETF with different investment strategies, and from a tax perspective by income focused ETF that pay dividend with irish domicil that are not clasified as a classic dividend or by bond ETF but as a other income from securities which in my country would be taxed (income tax 19%+14%health insurance).I decide it to go with US broker DriveWealth they offer also fractional shares. I know that Revolut planned to start commission free trading at the end of january 2019 but its silence, other fintech company ninety nine from Spain they plan to offer commission free trading (stocks, preferred stocks from US and EU stocks) no fractional shares.
Broker: Edgeclear and Rithmic. (Nordnet 1 year more for Norwegian stocks)
Trading: ES, NQ, GC, CL (Maybe Dax if I bother to get euro data, probably dont need more.) futures only

As long as you get a US broker? I am pretty sure some won't have you as a client if living in the EU (TDameritrade would open an account for me when living in Norway but would close it if I moved to Netherland.
Schwab didn't want non-US customers at all. I know old post, but this is just my problem atm, as I was planning to use probably 1/3 in GDX/GLD on short term bases. Also maybe spy/iwm when expecting a major move in indices.
So anyone knows a broker that is letting Europeans trade ETFs, or is that just not possible?
Interactive Brokers offer european customer to trade CFD ETFs instead of regular ETFs.
Buy - sell spread is same .
They have this service on most liquid US-ETFs like SPY, QQQ ,USO, TLT etc.
But CFDs on ETF are derivatives. In my country If i would buy stock SPY ETF and after 1 year would sell it and i would have profit more than 500 EUR netto after commissions, i would pay no taxes. But when i buy CFD on SPY ETF Its derivative than i would pay from profit 19% táx and 14% healthcare insurance.
