Hi,

For those that have used MarketDelta and especially those that have tried both MarketDelta and Sierra Charts, can someone point out an advantage to paying $199/month for MarketDelta vs. $25 for Sierra Charts?

Yes MD went or going through bankruptcy but it seems to still be in business. I'm not sure if the bankruptcy is because it is overpriced and all other footprints do the same or more for a MUCH cheaper price.

I don't mind paying $199 IF I see value added or an advantage. I just want opinions from others if there is a clear advantage to justify the cost. Again, it's not the cost and I don't mind paying it. It's more is there value in the extra cost? The cost itself is less than 1 stop out on one trade. I don't mind that. I just don't want to throw $2400 a year away if there really is no additional advantage to subscribing to MarketDelta. When it was new and first to market I can understand. Has it now become just another footprint chart that's overpriced? Being first to market doesn't mean anything. Other companies will steal their idea. But if there's an advantage that's a different story. I'm looking for a clear advantage that will add value to trading. There "Edge levels", emoji trading sells the same thing for Sierra Charts for $20/month or $300 lifetime. So that isn't really an advantage.

Thank you

Here is my Sierra Charts pics below. Looks nearly identical to MarketDelta and that's why I am asking the community if there is an advantage. I talked to Trevor before his bankruptcy and he just told me they were first to market which is the advantage or something along those lines. I couldn't get a clear answer as to WHAT the advantage was NOW not back in 2002.

Did you consider https://www.linnsoft.com/pricing ? it is less expensive than MD.

P.S. what you have shown in your screen captures can easily be done with Ninjatrader too.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. It's not the cost. I really want to know if there's an advantage to the additional cost subscribing to MD. Or are they stuck with high prices because they were the first to market and assume people would just pay the premium when there are now a lot of other competitors? Almost like an unrealistic illusion where they can't move forward because they're holding on to the past. Do they just charge those prices because that's their claim to fame that they invented the footprint? That doesn't help the trader.

Again, if there's something so special about MD, sure I'll cough up $200/mo. I don't really care. From users I'm just asking if there's something that makes it that much more unique or advantageous to justify the additional cost. Is it doing things other footprints aren't?

Thanks!
