It's nearly time to welcome the New Year with a bang! Amazing how fast 2018 has gone by...
This year it seems like we've all been busier than ever, our lives seem to always get more complicated instead of less. Can you relate?
I always tell myself that I must find the time to not just relax, but to reflect -- and in doing so, I gain the much needed perspective that helps me always move forward.
This year, that reflection and perspective have shown me more than ever what it means to be grateful for what I already have (and too often take for granted), instead of focusing on what I don't.
I also find that it's crucial to have goals. I am very motivated by them, and I assume most people are the same. I have a few lofty goals that are somewhat far-reaching and distant, and not very easy to attain. But most of my goals are more short-term, so that they can be achieved in shorter periods (like a few months or less).
As we ring in the New Year -- 2019 (wow!) -- I will be setting some new goals, and I encourage you to do the same. It's always helped me in the past.
I am inspired by our community and its achievements, the latest being the $3,925 we raised together this month for feeding those in need and giving them a Merry Christmas.
I'm glad to count you as an important part of that community. I look forward to seeing you around in 2019!
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
As I too reflect on this past year I wanted to take a moment and be thankful for FIO, which continues to be the reference point for so many who want to further their trading careers.
You've demonstrated leadership in being able to create a professional environment that attracts and retains people who contribute high-quality content daily. That is no small-feat.
So I for one am grateful. Merry Xmas and Happy 2019 to you and your loved ones.
Well done Big mike and the super moderators for maintaining a strong community here on fio ( @xplorer Im still waiting for a journal from you as I still have no idea what your trading methodology is). Also hats off to you Big Mike for getting through a tough year with medical related issues and still keeping a positive attitude. Merry Christmas.
And a merry Xmas to all the rest of the regulars on this site. Much respect to everyone for posting such high quality content in the form of charts, ideas, encouragement to others, failures, successes, anger, happiness .... basically everything that it means to be a trader and an inspiration to others. I wish each of you the very best for the year ahead. One of you is the next inletcap or mlm or tigertrader, we just have to wait and see who that will be
