Hello guys!
I am very, very new to the topic of trading and I would like to get some materials before start doing it so that I can learn the basics. If there are any suggestions for materials like books, online journals, videos, etc. please leave them here. Whatever you guys think will be helpful will be greatly appreciated!

A good start would be Dr john Keppler's " Profits with Market Profile"

Depends on if you are looking to trade or invest.

If you are looking to invest I'd recommend O'Neil's "How to make money in stocks" It is and advertisement for IBD but will give you a look at fundament and technical analysis as well as money management and risk control.

Then any thing be Darvas. Classic stuff but still viable today.

If your looking to trade there is a lot of stuff on the net, Best thing is to just watch the market you want to trade in real time and try and figure out how to take advantage of what you are seeing. test your theory then try it.

Study why traders fail, then don't do that.

Before you delve into the usual generic subjective voodoo based Technical Analysis I suggest you read " Evidence-based Technical Analysis " by David Aronson . Might prevent you spinning your wheels for a few years looking at the the typical junk TA out there . Try and engage in some sort of quantitative type analysis if you can .. Good luck

What about some good videos that might help me out. The books will take me quite some time, so I want to start as soon as possible. I will read the materials, of course, just something to watch meanwhile.

You could save a lot of time by just flushing some money down the toilet.

I would suggest googling why traders fail, then don't do that.
