How long does it take Iron Ore futures to effect the profitability of companies involved in Iron ore exploration? Does it take a quarter for the prices to go into affect? What kind of latency is there, if any? This is a very niche question so it's understandable if nobody knows.

Thanks,

DecDaddy

@DecDaddy the short answer is, it's almost unknowable from an investors point of view....it depends much on how the exploration company is structured. Maybe our resident expert @SMCJB could chime in?

Hope this helps!

Johnny

Not sure how the Chinese markets. CME has no Vol.
Not too many (if at all) have exchanger memberships on Dalin.
Clearing may be expensive.

I'm pretty sure Phillip Futures is a member at Dalian Commodity Exchange, and Phillip is a clearing firm at Ninja brokerage. Not clear if it works out for US-based traders

Yes, we work with large FCMs like ADM who have branches worldwide and licenses on different exchnages, but like you said it is not all open to US customers. There are a lot of Futures traded worldwide, but not all are retail oriented.
For example, Euro-Dollars, very liquid, yet mostly institutional. Not retail based.

I do not know this, but it could be that Iron Ore Futures are deliverable contact only like some contacts on the LME.
