Anyone have experiance using R Trader as a front end for mirus clearing through RCG?

heres a link to the mirus page....

https://ninjatrader.com/

no costs for this DOM and as im only using NT for the DOM im thinking of switching to this, any thoughts / experiance would be great!

The problem is that they don't allow you to test the platform
No demo

But It seems to me that their DOM is dynamic

I prefer the static mode

Hi jimbo!

I'm using R-Trader exactly with mirus/RCG. Its DOM seems to have nothing special comparing to NT, trade strategies are limited to brackets with multi-target exits (no trailing stops, no breakeven, chasing, reversing and other extended NT ATM strategies), but it has extremely flexible order entry features, such as Limit-If-Touched, Market-If-Touched and synthetic orders which are far beyond praise. Moreover, its OCO orders are seem to be server-side which is very useful feature too. RMS system deserves attention as well. So I left all analysis at NT and Marketdelta and moved all order entries to R-Trader.

Regards,
Leo

YES - It´s server side, and that is a so very important feature (why isn´t this a higher priority for you traders out there?)

It is also a very fast application, even more so with the Rithmic feed (time is money i wont my orders to be routed at the best possible speed).

I use the R-trader through Vision financial markets (and i am very happy with both of them).
I did a lot of homework researching different feeds, applications, brokers and so on before i decided on this combo.

Rithmic is the pure feed that zen-fire is based on.

will R trader run on a 64 bit vista?

how about 32 bit vista?

the install guide says XP but doesn't say if that is the only one supported or the minimum supported.

Thanks

I have win7 , and would recomend win7 or XP (cause Vista is lame

But Vista should work, cannot say any about x64

Try sending some questions to the broker that you might be interested in ,just to see if they even bother to write back. Some dont. I even maid some questions up sometimes just to see if they knew the answers.

regards

R trader does run on Vista 64 without any issue that I've seen - can't say I've used it a ton though.

Does anyone know if Mirus will allow you to run ninjatrader on one computer and R trader on another at the same time?
