Hello, is there a way to add a custom bar type to the selection button of the chart ?

A quick change for other prefered bar styles (like 4 range or 500 volume) is missing ...

NinjaTrader support of course told me it was not possible but I'm assuming it might be done by editing some specific file from the Ninja program or documents files. Do you know the solution ?

Thank you

Thank you

To my knowledge, it is actually truly not possible.

It may be possible to add something to the menu if you dig in deep enough (others have shown how to add buttons), but the real problem is what would you add? There is no exposed interface that I am aware of that would allow you to change the time frame of the chart. Perhaps you could jury rig something to send in a text command?

This is a feature that has been asked for a lot since they added other bar types, and is on the "list". If there is someone that could do it, it would be Roonius (who now works for NT).

Right. Thank you. I guess it is simplier to wait then. (I asked about it to Ninja support too)

On 6.5 I had managed to change de order of the DataSeries bar types by editing the BarsType file on the /Type directory ...but not more !

Thanks again.

why dont simply type in (on the chart itself) for example 1000T
this will change the periodicity to a 1K Tick chart. all type of periodicity is supported.

otherwise when a code like the below is passed on OnStartUp it works.

Code
SendKeys.Send("1");
SendKeys.Send("5");
SendKeys.Send("{ENTER}");

however i cant make it work in combobox

attached the failed cs file. maybe someone may have some luck.

Yes fine. I forgot about this quickie.

However, do you know how to set a shorcut for an imported custom bar type ?

Exemple : NoGapRange, how to define the letter I want to assign to it ?
if I want it to be D (like 4D = 4 NoGapRange). is that possible ?

Take it easy

Now that I have tried it, the pop-up box when you start typing on the chart is quite quick and fast. What is the term for this feature?
