Hi All,

I am currently using Dorman/Zenfire in Chicago for ES trading and I am very happy with them but they do not have access to any of the Asian Markets (Hong Kong, Australia specifically).

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the PATS data feed with any broker and also if anyone has experience with RCG?

I am currently trading live with NT 7.0.0.18 Beta just FYI in case that makes a difference.

I used to be with IB for a short-time last Fall and I got annoyed that the margins for trading the Australian Futures (SPI) kept changing daily by a large amount according to the volatility. I understand the reason they do this and if I had a huge account I would be fine with it. Otherwise I had no bad experiences with IB.

RCG offers straight 4:1 leverage fixed which is simpler for me.

Many thanks for the input.

Cheers

Hi trumpy,

I'm with Zenfire too but with Mirus Futures and RCG as Clearing.

I can tell that RCG has a very good reputation.

I never tried PATS, but I know that Global Futures offers it also for NT thru RCG.

In my experience Pats' Data is Filtered. Found out for myself when taking a Ninja Trader Class. The instructor's NT's DOM and T&S showed many more trades than I saw. Many times I did not see 1 pip Al Brooks' failed failures, which were on their charts. When I confronted Man Financial they admitted that I was not getting anything close to what ZenFire gives. I switched to ZenFire that week through RCG.

Thanks for the replies guys.

ZTR so your saying the datafeed was actually missing trades holy cow. I use TICK charts so can't be having that. I have heard IB bundles the trades and datafeed which is usable but having a data feed missing ticks when you use TICK charts is not cool.

Thanks for the tip. So is your broker RCG or do you have another broker that just uses RCG for clearing? Reason I ask is I don't see NT/Zenfire listed on their website as a platform but maybe they just don't advertise it?

Thanks again.

I have NT7beta18 set up on 2 Computers, one for Trading and one for the 4 DOMs I watch.

Email or Call Byron, my Broker, he is very responsive.

It may not be the very best commissions, but I have everything I want.

i7 Intel processor [email protected] 4GB RAM, NVIDIA NVS 450 Quad Card. All 24" Dell U2410 or 2407 Monitors.

The other is an older Intel 2.4GHz Core2 Quad. Works great with the DOM. Waiting for a 64 bit ZenFire version before upgrading this one.

But to be honest, don't really feel the need at this point to make any changes.

You're not running and testing many ATS with this are you? I have an AMD Phenom II x4 955 @3.20GHz and 8GB RAM and yet NT7 64bit gasps for air when optimizing strats that are more sopisticated than the toys-for-tots samples that are native.

I haven't heard of PATS, but I use RCG through Mirus and have never had a problem.
