Can someone provide an example as to how they enter a futures transaction in Quicken? I've previously had no problems in entering stock and options transactions - but now that I've moved into the futures area, I can't seem to enter those transactions so that they are accurately reflected on my reports. I use Quicken Home & Business 2013. Thank you!

you need form 6781 , unlike stock you need just 1 line for all future transactions https://www.taxact.com/support/1240/2017/form-6781-section-1256-contracts-and-straddles-futures-contracts

My question had nothing to do with tax reporting.

I also would like to know if quicken is a good software for accounting with futures for keeping track of monthly expenses plus losses and gains reports.
