TS automation warning, need to automate reconnection
I understand that every time there is an internet drop, TS tries to reconnect, which is like restarting itself in a sense, and I get Strategy Automation Warning, where i have to confirm existing positions and cancel duplicate orders. Is there a way to automate this reconnection process??? Am i missing smth here, like reconnection options, etc???
Solutions i have been thinking about to tackle the reconnection issue for sim account (I use TS at home for live simulation only with multi strategies for a given instrument. All live trading is done at VPSs and there i have no problems with TS/MC):
1 - move simulated TS to VPS. I do not want to do it due to extra unnecessary hosting costs and lower backtesting capacity at VPS.
2 - better and more costly solution would be to get extra TS and move simulated account to VPS and keep home version for backtesting (which i work along with MC).
3 - get fail over router with either extra internet line or sim - i would be interested to hear from someone who uses such setup at home how stable it is and is it really worth it vs VPS
Thank you.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
i talked to TS support and apparently there is no other way to reconnect. Amazing. I have no problems with MC to auto reconnect and TS does not even offer auto reconnect option.
Confirmed - spoke with TS Agent and received the same response. Also the dialog warning is a bit confusing and counter-intuative. I found this video which helped provided some useful information:
