Hi Everyone,

Thank you so much for taking the time and reading this message.
I have been reading up on some of the great posts on the board and specially GruttePier's trading journal. So I decided to start reading Mark Fisher's book "The logical trader" in hopes of finding some knowledge that would lay out the basics of the Style that GruttePier is using. I am finding out some of my basic mistakes (such as not paying attention to news, context, and so on) But most of the information in the book seems to be geared towards day traders. (especially some of the indicators)... By any chance would you be able to recommend any book or site that would teach the ACD trading system but more geared towards swing trading? You see, I am a swing trader and I trade Gold miners mainly.
I would be so greatful for any suggestions you might have for me.
Regards,
Peyt.

Hi Peyt... I don't use the ACD system per se but I do remember the book has a "Macro ACD" chapter that, as I recall, talks about how to interpret the various A up, A Down and so on across multiple days, as opposed to intraday.

There may be some additional info about the ACD system on this thread... may be worth a read in case you haven't come across it.

Best of luck in any case.

Your profile says you use Tradestation so the indicators may not help but some more reading here:

I have found out that there is an interest in indicators for ACD system and calculating Points A and C. I programmed several indicators and scripts related to ACD. Besides, I determined Points A and C using a ten year history of 1 minute bars for different securities. The program just changes breakout levels from 0 to 100 ticks and the one that brings the most profit corresponds to Point A (C). I have carried out testing and research of ACD method. Some of its postulates were confirmed, others not. Test and research results and description of some programs implementing ACD method and not only it you can find on my website acds.info
