Hello does anybody use GOMI orderflow to print buy and sell zones on their chart? I trade 6E and 6B and use Gomi with the "disable all candle drawing" checked so all the shows are the zones. Im trying to figure out the best settings for 6E and 6B. thanks!
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
GOMI, original creator of GOM MP, has created a fully recoded enhanced multi-platform professional MP (volume based) and Order Flow for delta insights.
The new GomMPPro builds upon the open source GomMP hosted on nexusfi.com, and includes multiple …
Iam not trading E6 yet but a bit experimenting with it. (auto trading...)
I think a setting of around 95 contracts and imbalance setting of 6 gives good results.
roughly 1 trade a day. stop loss 4 ticks target around 15
Based on standard range chart (Sierra has around 8 different range charts...) 3price levels
But a lot depens on the way you intend to trade.
I not take the retest of the price, but a direct trade if there is an imbalance. (but i also look at COT value, comparing COT with total volume of the bar and a set of other things like comparing COT to Dmin and Dmax. and the VPOC of the bar must be in the middle of the bar. (impossible to trade this by hand way to fast to absorb all the info)
I dont look at multiple price imbalances. (a bit saver, but way less opportunities, but if you can screen multiple instruments, and just cherry pick, than that is the way to go....)
On a sidenote i have consistently better results with a continuation pattern over a reversal pattern, but this can be due my bias with my formulas. (aka curve fitting hehe..)
@Gianamsterdam4x i use sierra with paid gomi version.
to amend my post
Setup mentioned above, is based on 1 level imbalance.
Currently experimenting with multilevel imbalance. based on 4/5 range charts.
In the case you experiment with multi level imbalance you just set the imbalance setting to 1 and the S/r number of consecutive levels to 3.
Orderflows dot com has some youtubes with this concept.
But you really have to know the reason of the imbalance (context) as most imbalances not work.
I (at the moment) differentiate imbalances (breakouts) based on news or breakout on "standard" technical stuff.
News is very hard to trade, as the orderbook gets thinner.
Technical breakout you can trade the first pullback of the initial breakout.
Sierra is cheaper (if you compare datafeed+software) and has way more to offer, with the spreadsheet you can make algo's without difficult programming.
Interesting the part of the algo. I'll take a look into that. I'm mainly interested in the Footprint ladders and I've been told that Jigsaw will have an add on for sierra this year.
