I don't find the predictive aspect, for day trading particularly helpful, nor profitable. The neural network used is not deep enough; it can only fit to a small sample size and the risk of overfitting is very real. Also, if the type of market changes from the sample to out-of-of sample data (say bullish to bearish), the predictions will be pretty useless. Not to diverge, but I believe deep learning, in which the larger the sample size (and more types of markets) the better, is much more uselful than these shallow neural nets.
As for the rest of the system, I do like it. The pseudocode makes it easy to to develop a trading system without needing to program. Some of the indicators are very useful, in particular the NOXA ones. The API to Interactive Brokers has worked well for me. Also, when trying tweek the settings of an indicator, optimizing via the neural networks for 2-3 minutes does help (although the indicator needs to be robust on its own). Marge at Ward has always been very helpful in answering questions or dealing with technical issues.
So, i have bought neuroshell trader.
fx6fx, did you find a good methodology to find the best inputs to have a good prediction?
And is it worth for stocks or only futures?
Hi, i have not find best setting: dipend from instruments and from time frame / compression that you use. If you search a forward of 2 or 3 bars or much more etc.
Yes, work well also on stock
