plot 60 period ema on 5 minute chart and not on 15 minute after switching timeframe
Hi guys,
i would like to plot 60 period ema only on 5 minute chart and not on the 15 minute and any other chart if i switch timeframe. This is wery nicely done in metatrader, but does anyone know of such solution for ninjatrader 8?
Thank you and best regards,

How do you currently get the 60EMA on your chart??
The way I do this is on my 5 min chart, I do also have the data series for the 60 mins chart with an EMA. I then put the colors of the wicks and bodies of the 60min chart to Transparent. I then have my 5 min chart with a 60 EMA.
I know that a simpler alternative is to just take an EMA and multiply by 12 as there are 12 5min bars in a 60 min bar, but that's less accurate for me than doing it this way.
You could try the VisualEMA. It allows for setting the bar type and bar period for calculating the EMA via indicator dialogue box. That EMA can then be display on any chart.
For example you will be able to display a 60-period 5-min EMA on a 1000-tick chart or a 60-min chart.
Exported using NT Version 7.0.1000.11
Indicator will only run on NT 7.0.1000.4 or later.
The VisualEMA is a MTF (multi-timeframe) version of the Exponential Moving Average. It will plot on any chart and allows to calculate the moving average
