Hi,

I been enjoying the Futures io Webinars. Funny enough, the longer i trade, the more i go back and find so much useful info that i overlooked a few years ago...

I noticed that several webinars have been about programming, ie Python, Trade Station, R, etc.... So IMO there is willing or need to learn more.

Just a suggestion -- how about a 2 or 3 part webinar series about the basics of Sierra's ACSIL Language. I've been studying it on my own and it does not look to difficult but i thought it would be great to just run thru the structure and some easy to medium examples. It could take so much time out of the learning curve and jump start ppl into starting to write their own indicators or studies.

Sierra is such a wonderful package and has so much to offer, IMO, I feel as if we are missing so much by not exploring ACSIL Code, or having a starting basis.

Thank you....

I'm finally starting to get the concepts and idea's behind ACSIL. Idea's that may have helped me facilitate my learning and things I'd like to see or explore. These are some simple idea's for a webinar, please add idea's.

1) basic structure
2) adding indicators from the library
3) calculations and adding sub graphs based on the calculations.
4). Adding marks (i.e., arrows, +, - or numbers to the main chart.
5). Conditions and loops
6) Counting back, to or from n number of bars
7) customizing current indicators.

In summary, overall structure and inserting studies that are already in built into ACSIL. Also, a starter "tool box" of sorts, such as the items mentioned above.

Thanks again...

Be good to see some tutorial vids of ACSIL.

Sierra massive on text explanations which is great for reference.

Some video tutorial for folks who've got the C++ basics already.
