I will shortly be releasing a new package to aid in the collection of statistical information for discretionary traders.
rfkTradeCatcher is a NinjaTrader indicator, (currently NT7 with NT8 to follow) that allows arbitrary gathering of indicator values from any number of active chart(s) together with any trade execution information. Indicators may be conventional, transparent, or more esoteric; I see many avenues with this route.
The combined information can be sorted, ordered and filtered under user control, from simple keyword configuration text files. The resulting outputs are a ChartMinder style executions only day log, and a parallel CSV format day trade record that can be read directly into Excel or similar.
Multiple masters can gather information from multiple slaves, all I/O and formatting is handled in a background thread, operation is transparent to normal use. As a new development from scratch it might also become the basis for a next generation lightweight ChartMinder for NT8.
I am already starting to ponder the implications and what this might show up for my own trading development. Thanks to mzabarain for the original ChartMinder related enquiry that has triggered the old neurons once more.
Watch this space. Proof or disproof of cherished puddings coming your way soon. :)
