Multiple Data, Allocating code when or not to use the data

Hi Guys!

I'm working with a 3 Data chart in Multicharts. I'm looking to take advantage of both longer term and shorter term opportunities. What I'd like to have happen is this: If I'm "short-term long/short," I'd only like the "short term long/short exit" to apply. Same in reference to the longer term trades.

The problem is, sometimes a shorter or longer term Condition might be true and trigger the wrong exit. I tried to counter this with an "AND" clause (see below), but that doesn't seem to be doing the trick (ex: I'm getting a "short term entry" and then a "long term exit," when I'd like it to be a "short term exit" instead).

Is there a way to specify an entry into the market and disregard the information on the other data stream? Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for your time.

Code
IF MarketPosition = 0
THEN BEGIN
IF condition1 THEN BUY              ("Long_ShortTern") next bar at market ;
IF condition3 THEN SELL SHORT ("Short_ShortTerm") next bar at market ;
IF condition5 THEN BUY              ("Long_LongTern") next bar at market ;
IF condition7 THEN SELL SHORT ("Short_LongTerm") next bar at market ;
END;

IF MarketPosition <> 0
THEN BEGIN
IF Condition2 AND Condition1 THEN SELL                ("exitLong_ShortTerm") next bar at market ;
IF Condition4 AND condition3 THEN BUY TO COVER ("exitShort_ShortTerm") next bar at market ;
IF Condition6 AND condition5 THEN SELL                 ("exitLong_LongTerm") next bar at market ;
IF Condition8 ANd Condition7 THEN BUY TO COVER ("exitShort_LongTerm") next bar at market ;
END ;

djvie11,

if you only want to allow short term exits to be used with short term entries, you could tie your exits to the entry using "from Entry" as described here:
