My criteria:
1) best at displaying of level 2 time & sales
2) best Dom & ideally it'd have prints on Dom like jigsaw
3) cost effective

Right now I'm using ninja, but I'm considering Xtrader. Let me know what you all think

I think this subject is very, very subjective, like asking what's the best car. Much like finding the best car for you, the best advice is to try the platforms for yourself and see which "speaks" to you. I know most platforms have a free trial so you can test it out. If there's no free trial, you may find videos on youtube (or here in the webinars) that highlight how the platform works. Hope it's helpful.

Each year at the end of Q1 there's a bonus issue of S&C which rates data feeds, brokerages,
platforms, analytical software, etc. Considering platforms they use different criteria (institutional,
professional; desktop, online; price categories).

I've gone through NinjaTrader, Sierra, R|Trader Pro and CTS T4.

I have found CTS T4 to be best for me. It isn't as full featured as other offerings but it is easy to use and customized. It is my favorite DOM to use, although there are some really nice third part DOMs that look great and have nice features. it does a slightly old look when it comes to charts but you get use to it. Sierra was too complicated to me, R Trader Pro looked great but it was hard to do basic things and NinjaTrader is easiest to get started with and has a huge thirdy party developer market but it just wasn't for me.

I say demo a lot of them any make up your mind for yourself.

X Trader or TT web. Great choices. Both have an excellent DOM.
SierraCharts also has a similar DOM to what you are looking for.

Hi Matt

Would you be able to summarize the key differences between a TT/X-trader DOM and a CQG one please?

InfinityAT is up there with TT and Xtrader, I also know several very large size traders using TradeStation, both in my opinion are better than Ninja far by far

I did an extensive search for a trading platform that would suit my needs and I decided in advance that I did not want to pay an “arm and a leg” for one monthly.
I personally liked one of the completely Free platforms Cannon Trading Co. offered me called E-Futures International. It has server-side execution, which was very important for me.
I feel that it has great charting with all of the major indicators and, in addition, the support of my brokerage in use of the platform I’ve found to be exemplary. You can sign up for a Free demo.

I did start up with some free charting software, i did start 1 year ago with tradingview, and now im paying it for real data from all over the world. If i was you i wouldnt get any free demo, because when it ends, you loose all you work setups indicators etc... so you must learn with a no limit charting free account first not demo. Happened to me as a learning noobie.

Happy trading!
