I own ninja trader multi broker and understand account groups and the fact you can not manage the entire group after entry. Very disappointing Ninja trader made what might have been a great feature useless.

I am looking for a way to work around this limitation. I am thinking that I might be able to use the chart trader for one account and the DOM trader for the second account. Do you think or know if this would work?

Just an update. I asked Peter Davies from Jigsaw trading this question and he said that it is possible to have both a dom trader and chart trader up with different accounts

You can use multiple SuperDOM's each pointing to a difference account or multiple Chart Traders pointing to different accounts or a mix. In short, you can have unlimited instances of order entry windows pointing whatever account you want.

I decided to use the Jigsaw live trading DOM and chart trader at the same time. I sure wish Ninja Trader would bring back the "Account Group" feature in NT8 and make it useful unlike the NT7 "Account group" feature. To make it useful a trader needs to have the ability to not only ENTER a trade for the group but also MANAGE a trade after entry. I think the reason NT7 "Account group" feature wasn't used much is it did not have any trade management functionality. It is going to be difficult enough managing the trade with two accounts as it is. I don't think people would attempt managing more with ninja trader.
