It takes quite a while to load.. i dont know anout 3 min but depends how many tick replay dependent indicator you have. With just naked chart it wont take that long to load. Try that first.
Just bumping up this topic - anyone else with NT8 playback problems? When I move the slider on the playback window to a start time it fails and automatically starts every playback at midnight and grays out the window so you can't change the speed. Very frustrating.
This is one of a number of performance reasons that I left NT8.
I posted about it on a thread on FIO at the time, and bugged NT on their support board. They opened a request for change, which moves up in the queue if it is voted for by other users. There were some votes, because this is a feature that is totally broken in my opinion, and a lot of others agree. I don't remember how long ago this was; a few years now probably. NT clearly isn't going to work on it.
I was told that the behavior was intentional, and it was changed from the prior behavior of NT7, but I didn't understand why it was intended, just that it was. Not much of an answer. Since it is working "as designed," they don't regard it as a bug (although I do ), and changing it would be a feature change, not a bug fix, and is harder to get them to prioritize.
Obviously NT has had a lot of things to work on, and the NT8 platform as a whole is very good now (it did take a while to get there, but they have.) So this just wasn't and isn't on their radar as something to change.
Sorry to deliver the news, but that's what the news is on this.
Bob.

Yes, I have the same issues with the platform. It will go to my chosen time, but it takes a while. It should be possible to program the product in a way, so you just picked a day and timeslot, and it will start from there - once you have downloaded the historical data. I know Sierra Charts can do that.
