Hi guys,
I want to use IB gateway to provide real-time market data for Multicharts' auto trading strategy, and I found a big problem.
I set the port 4001 for IB gateway in MC Quote Manager, at the beginning, every thing is fine, and the QM showed I have connected to the real-time data, and MC can receive the real-time data and update the charts immediately.
But after several minutes, the MC charts would not update anymore, the QM log showed that "warning message: Id= -1; code= 2108; description= Market data farm connection is inactive but should be available upon demand.usfarm".
I think there is no active market data request is connected so the farm connection is become inactive, but I opened MC work space all the time and I need to receive real-time market data.
And When I change the market data source from IB gateway to IB TWS, everything is ok, and the real-time market connection will not be inactive automatically.
Does anyone face this problem before? Please help me, thanks a lot.
