Has anybody played with Excelsior? It's an open-source, Java-based automated trading platform I'm going to be taking a look at and was wondering if anybody had any opinions about it.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
You might need cygwin if you want to run it on a windows box. One of the Linux guys here might be able to chime in. It looks like the "executable" is a .sh file.
It's java. Don't need linux or cygwin to compile it or run it. One would need to write a bat script to compile it to .jar file then another .bat script to execute it. Easy.
And, no it won't run on your iphone. It might run on your android phone tho...
On a side note, this project hasn't been updated in a while. Makes me concerned about support...but at least it's open source.
