I've noticed a number of posts of people's charts with colored regions between two different moving averages and wondered if there is an NT7 indicator that someone might have that can do that?
thanks

This is easy to add. NT has a method called DrawRegion(). For example, if you want to color the region between the Bollinger Bands in lime, you just need to add the following line to the indicator code. For detailed syntax see NinjaTrader helpfile -> search DrawRegion().

Code

// Fills in the region between the upper and lower bollinger bands
DrawRegion("tag1"CurrentBar0Bollinger(214).UpperBollinger(214).LowerColor.Empty, Color.Lime2);

Thanks for that. I have experimented a lot with code and end up with heaps of errors due to not having a clue what I am doing... it made sense to me but not to the computer.
I appreciate your time in answering.
I have an add on indicator that is called "channel this" and I can choose a particular MA and have it color the region of that MA but not where two separate MA's cross with a differing color for heading up or down.
I guess I was just fishing for perhaps someone with such an indicator to show me a link to it or share it...
Trying to avoid hard work and the frustration of unsuccessfully coding stuff.
Thanks
Doppio

I think you should start to code something, and ask for help in the Ninja Programming if you have problems with it.
I don't have statistics for this, but in asking for help in nexusfi.com (formerly BMT) for a "not too crazy" coding idea, the chance of success (find help and have a working indicator, at the end of the story) are very high.

Here's a couple back ground or region coloring indicators that work in NT7 . Perhaps looking
at them will help you out . good luck . ....

I see better what you were trying for now . The slingshot indicator also does what
you were trying for . It just needs to be updated for NT7 . Just a follow up .
