I have an intraday ES system that I autotrade with TS. I now want to also trade it in one of my IB accounts, so can anyone shed some light on how this can be done?
Thanks
Ben
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
as far as I am aware you can't directly connect it. So you will likely have to use a 3rd party
application that picks up the orders from Tradestation and sends them to IB (or develop something yourself).
There are several softwares that offer what you have in mind and you should have no problem finding them
via google.
It might also be possible to pick up orders from Tradestation using Ninjatrader and let NT handle the trading on
your IB account. But that would require a NT license that allows that.
Hello, I purchased METAORDER RT software over a year ago, and it works fantastic. I have done fully automated trading with this software literally hundreds of times with this software, that takes my TradeStation EasyLanguage automated trading strategy and immediately sends the orders to my account at Interactive Brokers. I use it for stocks, but I'm sure you could manage this just as easily for trading futures. It will take you a little while to get used to it, but the customer service I have received from them has been consistently awesome (they even helped me get trades to be sent in after hours, and charged me nothing extra),
and it is a very easy software program to use, no stress at all. I hope that helps.
Thanks, I was looking into them, but was worried about dealing with a company in Latvia. Nothing against those people, just a bit hesitant to give them my CC # etc.. especially since the software will handle account numbers and order routing. Maybe I am being too paranoid...
Hello bengreen, the one guy I have dealt with (Andrew Nazarov) has always provided me with EXCELLENT customer service. I had a few problems with the software early on (I have never been very handy at computers to begin with; everything seems to take me a little extra time to learn), and Andrew helped me with everything, and always promptly responded to my many emails, although at times he did lack "tact", but to be expected I guess from former USSR on occasion! Bottom line, he worked with me AFTER getting paid in full for the software, and that company is NOT a scam. The nice thing about both TradeStation and Interactive Brokers is, in my experience, they will never send cash to a bank account (or any other type of account for that matter) that is not listed as EXACTLY the same name as the one on the trading account; so no worries about someone being able to get to your cash! In my opinion, having been trading actively with both companies for approx. ten years now, both of these brokerage firms are extremely strict when it comes to the issue of security of the cash in your account. Try sending them cash from an account with a different name; they will not accept it, and will certainly not let money be transferred OUT to an account with a different name.
