I am new to this forum and have read posts by others on
free 6E data available to elite members.
Question:
1. What does this data look like? (trades or quotes, format)
2. Is it real?
3. Time frame available
4. Is this just a ploy to get me to pay the $100 to join Elite?
Thanks
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Sad to read your comment, but i'll try to help you...
The 100$ to become an elite is probably the best spent 100$ ever, you will not find any more 'bang' for your money than the 100$ spent on becoming elite...
However, somehow asking the question, is like it is not clear and then there might be a problem, and you may all better forget about it and forget about trading and forget about elite.
The data is data collected by members and shared with other members, it is tick data, not FX data, it is futures, trade by trade data, the most fine coursed data possible... but there is always discussion possible, rollover...
Futures.io is about sharing, you probably need to share a lot more than 100$ worth of value, to truely enjoy the community and monetize the value it can bring, if the 100$ is your focus, the most likely the sharing will be a major obstacle... I made a webinar about neural networks, it was a big pleasure and i gladly put more than 100$ effort in it..
Please don't misunderstand me, i don't want to be rude, i try to put things in perspective.
Futures.io allowed me to connect with some of the most brilliant people in the world, i worked several years on different models, i learned, i learned. I received, i gave... If i kept everything for myself i would not be where i was now. If i didn't pay the 100$, i wouldn't be where i was..
I bought a few commercial indicators (we all make that mistake), it all costed more than 100$, the stuff i downloaded from futures.io is worth more than all the indicators...
zeow...
just my personal opinion.
i know some people less patience explaining..
but @Big Mike created something good and valuable
from time to time this should be recognized
and i don't have a problem to articulate this
I appreciate your reply, although, no offense but it does sound like you are drinking
the cool aid at big mikes.
Put another way, if I told you that I was offering you a wonderful service and I wanted you to pay $100
but not make sure you are getting what you wanted, just trust me it's great, ahhh, well let's just say I would
like to sell you lots of things.
I mean I get it. I get that you love the service, but your explanation and slight scolding, really provide little
comfort for an outsider.
So I will just ask the question again, what data is available (ok it's provided by members), what is the format and
years that it covers. Yes I would appreciate the data.
I think what would help direct your question is if you described what you need of the data. I have a few pennies in an account with TD Ameritrade to use their TOS platform occasionally. TOS provides 6E data and, as far as I know, provides many many years of it. My point is that if you need 6E data for quick reference, there are many freely available sources that you probably don't have to pay $100 for.
Are you interested in the exact microsecond that an order hit the tape? Or perhaps a long term trend since 2008? Or maybe simple OHLC quotes? If you could describe your search a little bit more I'm sure we can help
