I have been paper trading on the NT platform for a couple months and I wanted to start live trading within the next couple months. Here is what I'd like to duplicate from NT.
1. I am trading the /ES, /NQ, and /YM only
2. All trades are done via Chart Trader via the 10min and 60min chart
3. I use price patterns to create my setups, so only basic drawing tools are required
4. I have 1 Day strategy and 2 Swing strategies
5. I have several ATMs for all strategies and they are always used for trade management
6. I have 3 Sim accounts for the Day strategy and 1 Sim account for each Swing strategy, for a total of 5 separate Sim accounts
7. I keep my NT platform on a VPS and plan to continue doing so when I go live.
8. Amp is my current broker with CQG feed
One of the reasons I have several Sim accounts is because if you have concurrent positions on the same instrument that intersect with each other, NT is not able to separate the positions. For instance, if I'm in a long position, and price triggers a short positions, the profit/loss targets will not remain separate. This was confirmed by NT as well.
I'd rather not have to license 4 more copies of NT and rent 4 more VPS machines to run separate accounts. That said, here are a couple questions
1. Is there a platform out there that will allow concurrent positions on the same market with the ability to keep all profit/loss target completely separate without the need for additional accounts?
2. If I have to use multiple accounts, are their platforms that allow multiple instances and account connections on one computer other than Sierra Charts?
I'd like to keep NT and have a lifetime license, but will switch platforms if needed. I'm also open to changing brokers and feeds
Given all I've mentioned, I'd love some feedback on a platform, broker, feed that may allow me to accomplish my goals. I know one of my options is to go with IB and use separate accounts. I'll also see if AMP can do multiple accounts, though I don't think they can with CQG.
Trust me, I'm fully aware of the settings and its functionality. I read it and watched the video many many times. I use that setting in my forward testing and still noticed the behavior.
At this point I'm just going to get a couple more accounts from my broker or use a broker with that capability.

Ok... Please excuse me, but I have zero idea as to what you are referring. However, your above statement (top) I have isolated is completely false. Ninja can and is able to do this. I have done it.

Of course you have an idea of what I'm referring to, given that is what you made both your rebuttals to. This is an example, though. A short position was taken at 2043.00, and then a long was taken at 2042. Instead of the short position keeping its target, which would have eventually been hit, it closed the position on the entry of the long position. This is with the ATM selection as "DisplaySelectedAtmStrategyOnly" using seperate charts.

My Ninja does not do this. It works as it should.
Below is a post I made about keeping NT7 healthy. I suggest reading that post as well as the one right after it, also from me, and following those two posts instructions. Perhaps not emphasize enough in the second post is remaking ones workspaces. This is very important. Please take a look I feel it will solve your issues.
I find the health of NinjaTrader 7 needs to be proactively maintain. Once a small somewhat odd behavior pops up it's time to do the following like clock work.
Disconnect from all data
Repair DB: Tools/Optoins/Data
Close NT7
Delete the …

Thanks Ron, I'll definitely try it. I'm more than willing to accept that I or my system could be the issue and is an outlier, just hoping I can resolve it if it is.
