Do you regularly use a TOS stock screener? (Alpha Testers Wanted)
1) show you the historical percent of trades that would have been winners?
2) the historical average gain/loss per trade?
3) the historical risk-reward profile of the pattern?
4) historical performance or visualization information similar to 1, 2, and 3?
And do you...
1) spend a lot of time manually screening historical charts to see if the hypothetical trades your screening criteria produces would make or lose money?
2) wish that you'd be able to tweak your screening criteria to find criteria that yields an attractive risk-reward and win rate?
If this sounds like you... you're in luck! I'm looking for alpha testers to help prototype a new kind of stock screener.
What will be expected of you...
To participate in a brief phone/skype interview with me so I can get a better understanding of the dissatisfaction and frustrations with your current stock screening process.
What you'll get out of the experience...
I'll take some of your screening criteria, program it up myself, and provide you with a report that details the information listed above. For free.

Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
So basically I tell you my screening criteria, you steal it, code it for yourself, and then try and trade it?
Can you please give some visual examples of what exactly you can offer?
"Free markets work because they allow people to be lucky, thanks to aggressive trial and error, not by giving rewards or incentives for skill. The strategy is, then, to tinker as much as possible and try to collect as many Black Swan opportunities as you can"
Sorry about that. I didn't anticipate that someone might feel like I'd be trying to steal their screening criteria. I'm not interested in your criteria, but if it makes you feel more comfortable you can start off by giving me the worst possible criteria you can think of
The truth is that I've been around trading a long time and I enjoy innovating. A friend of mine voiced some frustrations the other day (the ones outlined in my post) and I remember when I used to be searching for the "best" setups and indicators early in my trading career. I think he's right. There really ought to be a very light weight backtester type stock screener that's free to use. Nothing too complicated, but something that gives you a general feel for how good the screening criteria is on a historical basis. So I thought... hey let's reach out to some forums and see if anyone is interested.
To answer your question, I haven't programmed anything up so I don't have anything to share with you, but I can pretty much produce anything I want (within reason -- because I know how to program). The idea here is that you and I would be able to chat a little bit and I could get a better understanding of your frustrations and dissatisfaction when it comes to using a stock screener and I would tailor the output to what is helpful to you.
Let me know if you'd like to join. I used to be a PM for a few different mutual funds. I'm a real guy and I don't bite and I'll do my best to make it worth our time. Have a good day today!
