There's not much out there on the subject unless it's currency pairs. I'm not a FOREX trader as of yet. I'm a futures and stock trader now, but I should expand into all of the areas especially now that I know pair trading.

The question is what pair trades do you like?

I've got some time to kill right now, so I'll kick this off.

A great pair for over a year has been the /ES and /CL, but unfortunately it split apart last week, and they are no longer going to correlate like they were. That was the greatest trading pair or trading anything for that matter. I could bail money non stop into money bails, and stack.

There are regular pairs that correlate, and there are inverse pairs like the VXX and the SPY. The first kind you would buy long and short one each side, and the second you would buy long or short both sides the same. The second are inverse meaning that the VXX will fall when SPY rises and vice versa, but you just go long or short both sides.

Then there are options that can add more kick to the trade which can be shorted and long either bullish or bearish on each side of the pair.

Absolutely any kind of pair trade would be great to learn about or any kind of trick to the trade in this case.
