Hi,

I am new to this forum. I have never made or even downloaded a NinjaScript. I just searched for "ninja market analyzer bid size" and it returned this: Where is [AUTOLINK]bid[/AUTOLINK]/ask size? - Page 2 - [AUTOLINK]NinjaTrader[/AUTOLINK] Support Forum

This guy (Profitmake) has the exact issue I have. I have no clue about programming, I am still very green to Ninjatrader.

The issue: He's trying to put bid size and ask size columns in market analyzer but to no avail, yet. He has some code but its not entirely effective and the staff isn't contributing much.

This is what he (we) want:

Could you guys please help him? And me? Thanks!

Hi Trivto,

Not sure what you mean about "putting" bid and ask in the market analyzer.

But if you mean how do you configure the columns and rows etc, then that one is easy.

Go to File >> New >> Market Analyzer (MA) and once you see your blank default MA there then you just need to add instruments and then the prices will come automatically.

Meaning, you dont actually place your bid there like the DOM or other order entry areas.
You need to add and a instrument for whatever stock, future, contrat whatever in there by right clicking the instrument and then choosing "Add Insturment".

Once that is done, the bid and ask and last etc etc for whatever columns you have chose will appear automatically.

Saying that, if you want other columns there, just right click into the blank MA and from the shortcut dialog box choose Columns and then that will give you a list of whatevers to add to customize to your needs.

If you need to add your orders (bids, asks), you can do that by the chart by clicking on new chart, and then the Chart Trader icon. Or by adding a new DOM and selecting your instrument, OR by the front control center front panel.

Hope this helps, and I apologise if I have misunderstood you.

Thanks studio88 for trying to help but I not looking to configure the columns.

I am looking specifically for a customized indicator that can be put into the market analyzer columns. That indicator would be the extremely basic bid-size and ask-size, which is not available for me to choose from. Someone on the ninjasupport forum (in my link) is trying to create that indicator and he is trying to trouble shoot the neccesary code.

Please advise again

Ahh Sorry trivito, I think I misunderstood you, sorry about that.

But no so long ago, I asked on the NT forum a question similar (yet different) to yours.

My question to them was about not being able make the bid or ask columns go Green or Red to match up with the %change of a stock. And the answer was obviously that we could not add the columns into the equation of a cell or column by using other columns create the outcome.

I also questioned why such a feature that was commonly used in nearly every platform around the world so simply not actually included by default like every other platform. Would have thought if you were going to pay for such a program that at least some of the basics would be there, or either so you could turn it off if you dont need it so to speak.

Anyhoo, hope you find your solution.
Cheers.
