Hi everyone, I am from Quebec, Canada and I am planing a trip around the world with my girlfriend starting in may 2016. My first destination will be Ireland then Spain and then I will decide where to go, my goal is to go east until I am back in America.

I'm bringing a laptop in my backpack and my biggest dream would be to trade around the world and earn money doing so. I've tried forex in the past without success, now I am trying very hard to develop a scalping strategy on the NQ, and I am learning to trade stock as well, I had some good profit on Canadian stocks in the past months (don't know if it's beginner's luck!) .

My biggest passion is to travel, I've discovered more than 25 countries since 2010 backpacking on a tight budget. My second passion had become trading, I spend a lot of time reading and developing strategies since 3 years but unfortunately I've lost much more money than I won. I am quite stubborn, I know I will succeed in the future, I just don't know how long it's gonna take...

Feel free to give me some advise or to share some similar experience. I would be glad to meet other traders around the world or online so send me a private message if you're interested (English, French or Spanish).

Merci!

I wouldn't do it. Hostels are hectic and have intermittent connectivity. I think it's already disruptive to be trading while you're traveling in business hotels where you can get room service and a peace of mind when you're concentrating. I find it more disruptive if you're traveling for leisure. Depending on what you choose to trade, it could be during an awkward time zone relative to the location you have traveled to, and your girlfriend is not going to see it as a romantic part of your trip because it involves a huge time sink

Thanks for the advise, my plan is not to trade in hostels and coffee shop, I will be volunteering in some projects and we will be hosted by local people using Couchsurfing so I will most of the time trade on a home connection. I'm not concerned about time zone, I can trade anytime in the day. I intend to trade only from Tuesday to Thursday, I don't have good results on Monday and Friday and my girlfriend is aware of all that!

Nicolas Darvas traded while travelling and considered that a key part of the reason for his success. I find a lot of his thoughts / ideas are still relevant today.

This is really a great idea. This is look alike my dream life. All time mentally busy people will agree with my words I think.

Imagine a world where you don’t have to worry about your daily expenses, because you are self-sufficient and have financial freedom and thus the world is literally yours to do whatever you want with it whenever you want. You could stay in one place or focus on trading while traveling, or anything in between along with buying whatever luxuries you choose for you and your loved ones all while giving back to charity to help the less fortunate too.

Don't forget to travel to Blarney Castle and Cliffs of Moher (this is the coolest place I've ever seen)

Sounds lovely. The traveling part. I envision the trading ruining the trip though. Leave the laptop behind.

Hey william686, this sounds great. I'd love to hear how it's been going for the past 3 years. Did you make it around the world?

Luckily I know such place. It is Spain. Fortunately it is not difficult to get a good mortgage there https://virtoproperty.com/info/how-to-get-a-spanish-mortgage-guide even if you are not a citizen of the country.

Yeah, Spain is a great country to live in! My cousin has been living there, in Valencia, for the past 4 years already. I was really amazed to find out that average interest rate is some 2.6%. A real bargain imo.

I want to travel and trade around the world also... I have been wanting to do something like this for a long time. It would definitely be cool to go to other countries while trading.

I think to do it you have to think about the time zones as well.

Practice different markets.

Some markets move really good at NIGHT and others move really good during the MORNING others AFTERNOON.

So I think you have to practice each of those markets so you are ready for when you are living there...
