I've noticed that trading (even when on losing streaks) has made me much more relaxed and resilient to stresses at work and home. And I've found that the daily process of always trying to see the other side of every bear or bull setup has made me more empathetic and sensitive to other's points of view when we diverge.
Am I alone? Anyone else experience this?
"Can you lead Leviathan about with a hook? ... Will the traders bargain for him?" Job 40:25-30
You know that there are a lot of websites that post articles about the connection between brain activity and trading
(just read one on the tradorax site). When I am trading, I'm more relaxed because I do what I love, it is the best hobby one can find. On the other hand there are very stressful moments and my calm exterior becomes a nervous wreck. I guess that we should find some way in the middle so that we can continue to trade for a long time.
I like a quote (perhaps not exact) from Big Mike "if you want to know yourself, start trading" . I've been active for about 4 months now, and its been 15% trading 85% person building (reading/writing/rehashing old memories/learning what I didn't know). Its been a heck of a journey and its only just beginning.
