Anyone use NT to chart options? I was playing around and it looks like if you set the Instrument up correctly in Instrument Manager you can plot it, add it to Market Analyzer, etc. Attached chart shows the Sep 34 Put on EEM and the underlying. Data from IQFeed.

I'm sure this will be useful at some point. Anybody feed like coding the greeks and IV as indictors?

Interesting. I was thinking NT did not support options, but I never tried it as I know very little about them.

VERY interesting.
Being able to build hedging strategies (FUT/FUTOPT) or any other spread, delta neutral, vega neutral, ..., or anything else with NT will be great.
The NT 6.5 DB was ready for options, the files were here (underlying, expiration, strike, type, ...), but that was all, unfortunatly...

Building greeks an other IV like indicators will be not very hard, and quite fun to do, let's see, but I haven't read anything about NT7 and options, so this looks to good to be true...

I'm curious to understand how did you get this MX, I tried few thinks with my IB feed, but unable to get any options chart.

I think you will need a little more than that to analyze options. ORC software is what I played around with. If you are going to trade options I doubt anything less will do. Further, I would suggest having a prime broker before going into that game. You can always get the 25 Delta Riskies from a few places, which is probably all you need to know as a futures day trader. Though it would be cool if Ninja could be programmed to provide the 10 and 15DRR

Here is a walkthrough using July 110 SPY Calls and IQFeed:

1. Find the symbol. In this case its SPY1017G110. Welcome to IQFeed! - Fast, Reliable, Affordable. Datafeeds and API.
2. Tools>Instrument Manager> New
3. Select OPRA as the exchange.
4. Copy/Paste the symbol the Symbol Map>Instrument >IQFeed field.
5. Give it a "legal" name such as SPY_110_July_CALL.
6. Click OK, add it to an Instrument List, and you are good to go.

There is still some quirkiness I (we!) need to work out to get consistent behavior, but bottom line is that dataseries is available.

@syxforex: the ORC platform is beyond my reach financially. I execute options trades manually on TOS. I don't trade options often, though I do have a few positions on now (both spec and hedge).

TOS can calculate beta-weighted deltas for popular instruments, which is very handy on a portfolio basis. What is not handy is they don't disclose the math behind that (and I asked for it), so I'll need to come up with my own math for that at some point.

FWIW the prime broker I want doesn't want me... until I have $1 million AUM, so I'm retail for now.

@Sam: Cool! Let's find ways to make this useful!

I have been looking around for awhile now for Software that would display the Price Action of a particular Option Strike, Similar to post one , but in bar form and not line.
Looking for Futures as well as Stock Option Charts from a Brokerages Platform.
I know Optionsxpress had these charts way back, but i cannot view these on the newer software anymore.
I know Quote.com also used to have these charts for free many years ago.
Currently for Stock Option Charts these Brokerages Software will display Option Price Charts:
TradeStation, Optionshouse , and i believe TOS?...anyone know who else offers these Charts on their Platform?

For Futures Option Price Charts i have no idea as i have only been using NT.....i am still searching....does anyone know of Platforms and Brokerages that offer these Charts for Futures Option Charts ?
I have seen Britefutures.com offers End of Day Charts for free, but this is not enough for my needs.
The Platforms do not have to be from the same Brokerage for the Stocks and Futures Option Price Charts, but i am sure TradeStation offers both and maybe TOS?

If anyone finds these Charts please post whatever you find.
Thanks in advance.
